My Story
My Scentsy Story I was introduced to Scentsy in 2010 by my parents. My mom had a warmer at the cabin and I would always comment on how amazing it smelt in there, each and every time I walked in! In August 2010 a basket of scents was being passed down the beach from cottage to cottage. My mom excitedly grabbed it and told me that was what she had that made the cabin smell so amazing! She continued to tell me that it wasn`t a fire hazard, which was important because my dad is a fire marshal at work, and many of the women down the beach were married to firemen and weren`t allowed candles. Not to mention that my mom had a fire scare at the cabin one day when a glass candle burst into flames on the counter for no reason, thankfully my parents were there. So I went through this basket of scents, and even my boyfriend became quickly interested, choosing scents. When I received my order I loved it so much I decided to try becoming a consultant. I should mention that I have never been involved in network marketing or home based businesses in the past, so was a little nervous about how well I`d do, or if I would know enough to do it, hoping I wouldn`t be in over my head. But regardless, the product was amazing and I wanted the opportunity to share it with others, so I signed up in September 2010. Let me say, I was beyond impressed with not only the product, but also the incredible support I got from other consultants, the training that is provided, how simple the business part of it has been, the customers I have met, and how much extra money I have made. I have absolutely no regrets about my decisions. Since 2010 I have expanded my team to include consultants from other provinces, as well as locally. It has been so much fun to enjoy doing what I do and having the chance to help others start their businesses! Each year Scentsy gives consultants opportunities to go on free trips! Most people read that and think it`s unachievable, I earned it in 2013 as well as 2014! And believe me, you haven't traveled until you do a Scentsy style incentive trip. Unreal. Scentsy also offers great training opportunities in different places around the US and Canada you have the option to attend! And you are able to write them off as a business expense on your taxes! Speaking of taxes, you are able to write off all your business expenses, including the cost of your starter kit! You can make back the cost of your start kit in very little time with your commission cheques! Another thing I love about Scentsy is their minimum sales policy. In order to stay active with Scentsy a consultant must have a monthly total of at least 150 points in Personal Retail Volume (PRV) during at least one month in a consecutive three-month period. This is easily achievable by even your own orders, or sharing with close friends, family, neighbors, or coworkers. Scentsy really is a business that you can cater to your needs. You can work as much or little as you like. And there are training videos and conference calls that are always available to you if you want to learn and expand your business!
